Crystal Moons

£6.00
Tax included.

The crystal moons are beautiful crystals that have been carved into the shape of a classic crescent moon, they are well made and smooth to the touch. The crescent moon symbolises new beginnings and the making of dreams into reality.

Opalite is a man-made crystal; having it near to you can remind us to gain stabilisation and 'slow down' sometimes. This can be particularly useful in stressful situations or environments. You will find that with certain crystals the colouring or shading can vary, however with opalite the colouring and quality is always constant.
Opalite is a simulated man-made crystal that originates in Asia. Opalite is a very gentle and delicate stone. Holding a piece of opalite, or having it somewhere nearby, can remind us of the need to slow down, both our thoughts and pace of life, and to gain stabilisation. Its calming air makes it a useful stone to have around if you're in an environment where tempers flare, or somewhere where life or work can be stressful.

Opalite is also often used in conjunction with meditation or healing. In particular, it's a useful tool for enhancing the abilities of the crown chakra, removing blocks and stagnant energy, and opening up a clearer psychic vision.

 About Hematite
Hematite has been used extensively throughout history. For example, it was the chosen stone for mourning jewellery, worn in the past after a loved one died. Further back in history, it was once a key ingredient in the production of sealing wax and the ancient Egyptians used it to produce magical amulets.

Essentially, hematite is one of the most grounding crystals. It's got an energy of calmness, balance and clarity and can assist with reducing negativity and re-balancing yourself. As the energy is so peaceful and calming, it's often chosen as an aid for helping sleep difficulties. In the same way, it can also be used for meditation and bringing about a peaceful state and clear mind.

Clear Quartz is a unique stone and the crystal used for these moons can vary between each; however the quality is always constant. Some may be as the name suggests, completely 'clear' however most will have lovely flecks in the crystal or can have more of a cloudy effect. Take a look at some of the pictures above to see the type of variation there may be; we've tried to capture the different shades and types there may be. If you have any particular request for the look or colour of the moon you would like, please leave us a note in your extra instructions upon checking out and we'll do our best to pick one for you.
Clear quartz is also referred to as Crystal Quartz or Rock Quartz. As a healing tool clear quartz combines well with nearly all other crystals. Words that are used to describe the properties of clear quartz are spiritual, divine, cleansing, focussing, higher power, programmable, psychic, balancing and healing.

Clear quartz as a term is often used to describe some clear quartz that does have markings or milkiness within it. The reason for that is to distinguish it from other quartz derived crystals such as amethyst, rose quartz, citrine, aventurine etc.

Some refer to it as the master healer stone and It is one of the main tools used by crystal healers because of its balancing and cleansing / neutralising properties. It is good to hold or have around whenever you feel foggy, uncertain or would like to see your way more clearly. It is one of the most frequently used crystals by healers because of its wide-ranging benefits.

Rose Quartz is a pink crystal that can have lots of colour and character to it. The rose quartz used in these moons can vary from a light and clear pink, to a darker opaque pink but the quality is always constant. Take a look at some of the pictures above to see the type of variation there may be; we've tried to capture the different shades and types. If you have any particular request for the look or colour of the moon you would like, please leave us a note in your extra instructions upon checking out and we'll do our best to pick one for you.
Rose quartz is one of the most popular crystals along with amethyst and clear quartz. It has a calming and soothing energy. It promotes self-love and helps overcome feelings of not being 'good' enough, self-criticism and resentment. It reminds us that when you love yourself and are happy in the moment there is no need for haste. Rose quartz embraces the one true currency of life, love.

 About Rhodonite
Rhodonite is a stone of love. It has a peaceful, caring energy that promotes unconditional love. It energises the heart and can be effectively used for healing work, especially involving the heart chakra. Some people call it the stone of peace, as it exudes an air of peacefulness. As such, it is also sometimes used as a tool of resolving conflict and restoring inner balance.

 About Unakite
Unakite is a combination of three minerals - green epidote, pink feldspar and quartz. Green epidote cultivates a zest for growth and the ability to see what is going on below the surface of our everyday life. Pink feldspar brings a new way of approaching things. It also promotes self-love, which in turn makes us more able to love others. The energy of quartz promotes clarity and clear mindedness.

As a whole, unakite reminds us of the need to unblock energy centres in the body, which build-up from time to time, as blockages can halt progress in our physical life.

The Amethyst in these moons are generally a dark purple colour, some will have some white banded elements to them, but the quality is always constant. Take a look at some of the pictures above to see the type of variation there may be; we've tried to capture the different shades and types. If you have any particular request for the look or colour of the moon you would like, please leave us a note in your extra instructions upon checking out and we'll do our best to pick one for you.
The wonderfully coloured amethyst, with its variety of shades of purple reminds us of the spiritual thread that runs through our life and can be used as a tool to aid spiritual awakening and intuition. Amethyst can bring a calming influence and therefore be of great help in times of change. It's excellent to hold or have by you when you're practicing meditation and when placed in a room it can help absorb negativity. Placed under the pillow it may help you sleep better.

 About Sodalite
Sodalite is so named due to its sodium content. Its appearance has some similarities to lapis lazuli but anyone familiar with both can usually distinguish between them.

The gentle spiritual energy of sodalite promotes the need to become more complete and unify the sub-conscious, conscious and higher consciousness. When we feel more complete in this way we are able to trust more the subtle things we feel - things that can easily be dismissed as 'just a feeling'. With this new connection fears about spiritual matters can resolve themselves.

Lapis lazuli is a blue and white crystal that has lots of character to it. The Lapis used in these moons are a mixed of vibrant blue, with white and gold flecks mixed into the crystal. The colour will be different between each but the quality is always constant. Take a look at some of the pictures above to see the type of variation there may be, we've tried to capture the different shades and types. If you have any particular request for the look or colour of the moon you would like, please leave us a note in your extra instructions upon checking out and we'll do our best to pick one for you.
Lapis lazuli is a combination of lazurite and calcite. Sometimes pyrite is also present. Lapis lazuli, or lapis as it's often simply called, is a crystal that's oozing in spiritual energy. In a sense, it's a timeless stone, which symbolises our spiritual selves at their most expansive and wide open state, where we are able to learn anything we desire to know. As a tool, lapis lazuli can act as a reminder to us that the subtle spiritual realms are there and open to connection and exploration.

The energy of the stone reminds us that we really do hold the answers to anything we want to know deep inside ourselves. If you want to know about the meaning of life, or what a certain symbol means, or how to be more intuitive, these answers are really inside you. A teacher may help you sometimes, but ultimately we are the ones who take action. Sometimes, when learning, it is easy to get attached to a certain teacher or set of teachings. Lapis teaches that that can be fine, but we also need to remain open so that other possibilities can enter when needed. Wearing lapis can act as a signal that you're opening yourself up to the power of divine inspiration.

 About Sandstone
Blue Sandstone is a man-made gemstone, it is made by heating glass and infusing it with quartz sand. The tiny pieces that shine within the crystal are little pieces of quartz, which is what gives the stone its starry look.

About the Symbolism of the Colour Blue
Colours can affect our physical, mental, emotional and spiritual states, both consciously and unconsciously. We can use colours to help us feel better, to inject an element of vitality into our life, or to calm strong feelings and promote a sense of peace and relaxation.

The colour blue is typically associated with a range of emotions and states of being including: calmness, purity, truth, wisdom, depression and peace. Different people perceive colours in different ways, so you may have other associations, which are equally valid.

In Buddhism blue is linked to wisdom, and in Hebrew traditions it's associated with mercy. Both Christ, and the Virgin Mary, have both been depicted wearing shades of blue, representing their detachment from worldly goods, materialism and possessions. Blue is the colour of the sky and as such is associated with a sense of peace, freedom and calmness.

The ancient Egyptians regarded blue as being the colour of truth, and the images painted on the walls of their tombs were on a sky-blue background. It's also a colour that's been linked to scores of gods, particularly sky gods, such as the Egyptian Amun, the Greek Zeus, Roman Jupiter, the Hindu Indra, Vishnu and his incarnation, Krishna (who was said to have blue skin).

When people are feeling low in spirits or depressed they're often said to be, "feeling blue." It's thought this phrase may stem from the twilight blues songs sung by African slaves whilst being held captive in North America.

 About Moon Energy
Throughout many traditions the sun represents the father and male principle and the moon the mother and feminine principle. The energy of the moon is intuitive, deep, subtle, feminine and psychic. To say this is a feminine energy does not mean to say this energy is just for women. Men and women have their female and male aspects. We all develop them both.

The moon is also associated with clairvoyance and knowing without thinking. To use the energy of the moon does not involve conscious thought. So to wear or have around you the symbol of the moon is to state your universal intention to use your intuition, to simply go with what you feel and to know that to do this is for your greater good.

The moon has different phases and throughout these phases it affects us in different ways. For example the full moon represents illumination, unconscious made conscious and all can be seen. The crescent moon symbolises new beginnings and the making of dreams into reality. Because of this cyclic nature of the moon it is also connected to rebirth and how our true essence really is immortal.

Size of Crystal Moon: Approximately 3.5cm in length, and roughly 3cm from the edge to the point of the crystal. (Please note, as these are a natural product the sizing may vary slightly by a few millimetres).
